Cut away the ceiling sheathing or drywall if present to reveal the ceiling from the concrete wall back to the next joist.

Use concrete nails and a concrete nail gun to attach the hat channels to the wall after drawing a plumb line to make sure you ve spaced the hat channels properly for the size of drywall and insulation you re using.
Drive three concrete nails spaced at even intervals through each side of each hat channel.
A hammer drive anchor requires only a small pilot hole.
Drill the hole at least 1 4 inch deeper than the length of the lower portion and vacuum or blow out the hole.
Cut 2 by 4 blocks to fit between.
Once the first row is installed pack native soil to grade level on both sides of this course to anchor the wall in place.
